I work where business rules meet storage and API contracts. Python and SQL are the medium; the product is a system another engineer can operate.
Principles
- Rules that cannot fail quietly live in the model and the test, not on a slide.
- A technology appears by the job it did in the system.
- Employers are never named. The exhibit is the system.
Systems on exhibit
- SYS/001 Observa — A local distributed-order lab demonstrating diagnosis, compensation, and recovery with end-to-end observability.
- SYS/003 Order pipeline — An e-commerce order through event choreography. No domain service calls another over HTTP.
Skills in context
Python for services and contract tests; SQL and PostgreSQL for persisted effects; Kafka for events; OpenTelemetry to trace the journey. Docker and local Kubernetes make the experiments reproducible.
